GU Roctane gels are essentially a premium version of GU’s original gels. They come in a variety of caffeinated flavors (Pineapple, Lemonade, and Strawberry-Kiwi are non-caffeinated) and are a maltodextrin-based carbohydrate source of easily digestible calories for use during long and/or intense exercise. The main difference is the addition of an amino acid blend that helps to accomplish several things: reduced muscle damage, mitigation of muscle acid build-up and increased concentration and energy.
